Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010
CAT or Common Admission Test is the most hyped entrance examination for prospective management students. Success of students aiming admission to the top B schools are determined in these exams.
CAT is conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs. Over the years, many other institutes have also begun to accept this CAT score for their admission processes, and it can safely be said that there is growing momentum to make CAT as a single entrance exam for all business schools in India. The CAT score is currently accepted as a merit base for admission by more than 124 non-IIM institutes across India, some of which are very close to the IIMs in terms of market standing and reputation.
